  • My name is Andrew! A lifelong dog lover, outdoor enthusiast, and creative problem solver. With a background in product development and a passion for making things better, I was never one to accept “that’s just how it is” when it came to pet gear. SafetyFurst began as a hands-on mission to protect my best friend during everyday adventures, and quickly grew into a bigger vision: to design thoughtful, innovative products that help dogs live healthier, happier, and safer lives. Every product is built with intention, inspired by real needs, and grounded in the idea that responsible pet parenting should feel natural, not complicated.

The pup behind the brand

Benji is more than a mascot, he’s the original co-founder and chief product tester. A playful pup with a fearless spirit and a heart of gold, Benji was the inspiration behind SafetyFurst’s first product, the Whiffie Cushion. Whether it’s hiking a trail or just chasing a ball, Benji reminds us every day what adventure should look like: joyful, curious, and full of love. His boundless energy and trust are at the center of everything we do. He’s the reason we believe in putting pet safety furst.
