Can you roll up the window while the Whiffie Cushion is on the glass?
Yes, but only to where the top of the Whiffie Cushion closes the window gap. There will be a slight gap on both sides where the Whiffie Cushion does not expand to.
Will the Whiffie Cushion fit my window?
Most likely, yes! We intentionally designed the length of the Whiffie Cushion (~ 15.5 inches (39.4 cm) in length) to fit nearly all vehicle windows.
Is the Whiffie Cushion sold in stores?
At the moment, it’s only sold online, in select retailers, & in person at random pop up events.
What happens if I roll down the window while the Whiffie Cushion is still on the glass?
The Whiffie Cushion may fall off depending on your vehicles window sensors. We strongly suggest locking your window controls once the window is set to the appropriate height. Should your Whiffie Cushion come off, do not panic! If you can, safely pull off on the shoulder & use best judgement for retrieval. Also note, it’s been rigorously tested — including running over it with our Sprinter van — and from what we’ve seen it will most likely not sustain any major deformities and will still be operational. DO NOT intentionally run over your Whiffie Cushion!
Will my Whiffie Cushion come off my window while driving down the road?
No, we have tested the Whiffie Cushion while traveling over 70 mph (112 km/hr), so while cruising at a safe speed of 35 mph (56 km/hr) it should not come off the window unless the window is accidentally rolled down while in use.
How long will my Whiffie Cushion last?
The lifespan of your Whiffie Cushion is dependent on how well you take care of it. The ultra-durable material used, XL Extralight, was intentionally designed to withstand the test of time and it has been exposed to & tested in rain, snow, sand, & spontaneous acts of doggy attacks. For optimal longevity, we recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight unless in use, washing periodically with a clean cloth and mild soap, & storing in a safe place where crazy doggos won’t attack & bury in the backyard.
Will my Whiffie Cushions central slit loosen over time?
Yes, the more you use it, the more it will loosen.
What happens if I leave my Whiffie Cushion in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
We do not recommend leaving the Whiffie Cushion in direct sunlight over an extended period of time as it may slightly deform, but it should still be operational.
What’s the best way to clean my Whiffie Cushion?
To clean your Whiffie Cushion, we recommend using a soft cloth or sponge that is lightly dampened with a mild soap, such as Dawn, mixed with warm water, to gently wipe the surface. Rinse with clean water & either wipe dry with another dry, clean cloth or air dry before reuse.
Is it normal if my Whiffie Cushion has a slight odor?
Brand new Whiffie Cushions may have a slight plastic-like smell to them upon opening. This is a non-toxic scent and is similar to that of the sole of a new shoe. If there is one, the scent will diminish over time.
Do you only offer the Whiffie Cushion in Baja Blue?
At the moment, we only offer the Whiffie Cushion in Baja Blue, but we will gradually expand our color selection based on demand or events.
Fun Fact: Most dogs can see hues of blue and yellow, so this color is most likely very bright and fun for them.
Should I be concerned if my dog ate part of the Whiffie Cushion?
Yes, you should be concerned as the material is not meant for human or dog consumption and could be found difficult to pass in stool. Contact a vet immediately for further care instructions.
